Heddon Vs Ponteland First

Heddon Vs Ponteland

On Monday 10th of October saw the first outing for our newly formed school football teams, Ponteland Panthers and Ponteland Pumas. After carrying out school team training on Monday’s we were very lucky to be able to get an after school match organised against Heddon First School, an event that had the children excited for weeks before hand.

The Ponteland Pumas got off to a brilliant start with Kamran Haq scoring the opening goal. They showed great team spirit and togetherness to go on and win the game 6-2 with more goals coming from Jake Boot and a hatrick from Jay Pierce.

The Ponteland Panthers showed some brilliant passing and moving and created a lot of chances. Owen Kingsland was the headline grabber with a hatrick, and the last goal coming from the left foot of Jack Storey to finish the game 4-1.

The 2 wins for both our Ponteland teams sent the children home very happy on the bus and left them excited to play again. We are lucky enough to confirm a match vs Darras Hall on the 8th November after school, a letter will be sent home for all of those involved.

Underneath is the report that was in the Hexham Courant who were also in attendance of our match.
