Rugby Super League Cup

This morning we were extremely fortunate to be visited by representatives from The Rugby Football League and Cramlington Rockets as well as Newcastle Thunder rugby league player Vinnie Rennie.  As if being visited by a real rugby league player wasnt enough, Vinnie also brought with him the Rugby Super League Cup!  The children in Key Stages 1 and 2 were all very excited to pose for a photograph with Vinnie and the Super League Cup and they also had the opportunity to ask him lots of questions! The children heard about the Dacia Magic Rugby League Weekend (http://www.rugby-league.com/tickets/magic_weekend) which is taking place on the 19th and 20th May at St James’ Park.  The weekend will see the best rugby league teams competing as well as live music, fancy dress and lots more family fun. Mr Tailford is in discussions with The Rugby Football League to try and secure mascot places for some of our children so watch this space!    The children left assembly feeling very inspired and so if anyone is interested in taking up rugby league as a hobby, please get in touch with the Cramlington Rockets who provide training (http://www.cramlingtonrockets.co.uk/information).
